Blue Ant adds 100 hours to catalogue

Christmas At Chatsworth House looks behind the scenes at the estate

The distribution arm of Blue Ant Media has topped up its catalogue with over 100 hours of programming, spanning documentaries, factual, specialist factual and kids’ content.

Among the titles to have joined Blue Ant International’s slate are several documentaries that deal with pressing contemporary issues in today’s world, including 9/11 Kids, No Responders Left Behind, The Two Lives of Li Ermao and The Shadow of Dumont.

Other new factual content includes Christmas At Chatsworth House, which looks at the inner workings of the historic UK stately home; Hotel Paranormal, a 10-part supernatural docuseries narrated by Dan Aykroyd; and Aging Well Suzuki Style, which follows 83-year-old David Suzuki as he determines how well he is aging.

New natural history series from Love Nature’s slate of original 4K programming include Stormborn, narrated by Ewan McGregor, and A Bee’s Diary.

Meanwhile, the distributor’s kids and family offering has been bolstered by season two of Detention Adventure and Nikola Tesla & the End of the World.

The distributor has also set up an online catalogue with the newly launched titles among its slate of over 4,000 hours of content ahead of the digital version of Mipcom next month.

“Blue Ant International has an incredible amount of newly acquired premium content from a variety of production companies ranging from single series to large library acquisition deals,” said Ludo Dufour, senior VP, international coproductions and sales at Blue Ant International.

“We’ve been in constant contact with our international buyers over the last several months and are heading into this year’s fall market season with a carefully selected array of premium, compelling content that will appeal to audiences everywhere.”
