Bibas set for Summit case study

CONTENT LONDON: Olivier Bibas, co-MD and executive producer at Lagardère-owned French production group Atlantique Productions, has joined the line-up for C21’s International Drama Summit, taking place from November 29 to December 1.

Bibas will take part in a case study on the producer’s recently launched high-end European series Midnight Sun, billed as the first French/Swedish copro, for Canal+ and SVT.

Swedish directing and screenwriting duo Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein (Bron/The Bridge) will also be on the panel.

Atlantique, owned by Lagardère Entertainment Group, has been one of the most prominent European producers using international financing models to greenlight English-language TV series.

Other successes include Borgia (Canal+/ZDF), Jo (TF1/SAT.1) and Transporter – The Series (M6/HBO Canada/TNT).

Bibas joined Lagardère Group in 2004 as deputy MD of the international TV department before becoming secretary general of the TV channels and production division.

He started his career at Canal+ in 1995 where he held various positions in business affairs and development.
