Being Human travels to Italy

An Italian broadcaster has acquired the first four seasons of UK supernatural drama Being Human from sales house Zodiak Rights.

Rai has picked up the show, produced by Zodiak Media-owned Touchpaper, in which a vampire, ghost and werewolf try to live a normal life among humans.

A fifth season is currently in production for UK diginet BBC3, while a third season of its US remake is also underway for cable channel Syfy.

It is the latest deal between the Zodiak Rights and Rai, after the pubcaster bought a package of more than 25 hours of documentaries earlier this year.

The programmes included The Final Days of an Icon (19×52′), produced by Sunset Presse for France 2 and France 5; The Secret of the 7 Sisters: The Shameful Story of Oil (4×52’), also by Sunset Presse for France 5; and The Two Faces of Auschwitz (1×52’), produced by Flach Film for France 2 and Planète.

Last week Zodiak Rights announced a shake-up of its sales team that will see the departure of MD Jane Millichip.
