BBCWW opens Room in Europe

Broadcasters in the Netherlands and France have become the first to order local versions of BBC Worldwide (BBCWW) format You’re Back in the Room.

French network W9 and RTL Netherlands will both air domestic versions of the comedy gameshow, which was created by UK indie Tuesday’s Child and sees five hypnotised strangers taking on simple challenges for a cash prize.

BBCWW France will produce the show for W9 as Hypnose, Le Grand Jeu, while FremantleMedia’s Blue Circle is behind RTL Netherlands’ version.

The original debuted in the UK on ITV and was simulcast on TV3 in Ireland, with a second season announced last week.
