BBCWW makes CEMA addition

BBC Worldwide (BBCWW) has appointed Jay Tallon to a newly-created exec role as part of a move to increase the firm’s business in the CEMA region.

Tallon will take up the position of senior VP of high growth markets CEMA and will be responsible for leading the sales and affiliate strategy across all businesses for the UK pubcaster’s commercial arm.

She will also work with regional VP’s to develop new business and report to Ian McDonough, exec VP of CEMA for BBCWW.

Tallon, who will be based in London, is currently head of business and legal affairs for BBCWW in CEMA having joined from Fox International Channels in 2013 where she served as the head of legal for the UK, France and Africa.

McDonough, exec VP of CEMA for BBCWW, who said Tallon’s “commercial, strategic and legal talents will combine perfectly to drive this fast growing market to new heights.”

It is the latest in a string of appointments for BBCWW in the region as the organisation seeks to increase its efforts in CEMA, and comes just a week after Joel Churcher was appointed VP and GM for BBCWW in Africa.
