The Irish version will be produced by Motive Television, which also recently worked on an adaptation of BBCS’s Ultimate Hell Week for RTÉ One.

DIY SOS: The Big Build provides a home makeover to a family facing difficult personal circumstances.

Irish presenter Baz Ashmawy will host the four-part series, which started filming in Ireland last month.

The show is spun off from DIY SOS, which has been on air in the UK for 20 years, has been sold into 151 territories and is part of BBCS’s slate for Mipcom next week.

BBCS will launch a number of shows at Mipcom including the drama MotherFatherSon. It will also bring new comedy format Ghosts, while its unscripted programmes include Late Night Guestlist, Hot Property, OAP B&B, One Hot Summer: Heartbreak Holiday, Flour Power and The Stand Up Sketch Show.
