BBC’s Ready or Not leads Argonon slate

UK distributor Argonon International has added three new shows to its slate ahead of MipTV, led by BBC comedy entertainment format Ready or Not.

Produced by Argonon-owned UK prodco Remedy Productions, the 30-minute family series debuts on BBC1 in a Saturday access primetime slot on March 31.

The format sees unsuspecting members of the public ambushed on the streets with cash prize rewards for answering questions correctly.

Other new launches from Argonon include two new series from French production company Med&Co. In Home Alone (4×60’), produced for public broadcaster France 4, a group of children seemingly share a house without any adult supervision. However, their parents are actually camped next door keeping a watchful eye.

Star Babysitter (1×90’) is a reality format produced for French kids’ network Gulli and sees undercover celebrities step in to become babysitters with a prize at stake for not getting found out.

The deals to distribute the new formats were brokered by Cecilie Olsen, Argonon International’s senior VP of sales and acquisitions, and the slate will be presented at next month’s MipTV market.
