BBC’s Kitchen served up down under

Foxtel’s LifeStyle Food channel has acquired a condensed version of the BBC magazine series Saturday Kitchen.

The show, produced by Cactus TV in the UK since 2006, is presented by TV chef James Martin and usually runs for 90 minutes during the weekend on BBC1.

Australia’s Flame Media has condensed the programme into one hour and the first episode of the 20×60′ series will begin airing on Lifestyle Food next month. Flame Distribution holds rights to the international version of the show.

Lyndey Milan, the creative director of Flame Media and also a food and wine expert, was a guest on the show in January.

Guest stars in the first episode include Downton Abbey actor Ed Speelers and celebrity chefs Luke Matthews and Olia Hercules.
