Broadcasters in Canada, Asia, Europe and Latin America have picked up a preschool show that recently debuted on CBeebies in the UK from Boat Rocker Rights.

Produced by BBC Children’s Productions, Bitz & Bob (44×11’) has been acquired by Canada’s TVO and Knowledge Network, plus EBS in South Korea, SVT in Sweden, NRK in Norway, YLE in Finland, Hop in Israel, France Télévisions and Fox Latin America.

The show is animated in CGI by Jellyfish Pictures. Daniel Bays is the series creator, while the executive producers are Vanessa Amberleigh for CBeebies and Bob Higgins for Canada-based Boat Rocker.

Bitz & Bob and its live-action companion show Bitz & Bob – You Can Do it Too (44×4’) have been requested more than five million times on the BBC’s VoD service iPlayer to date.

Bitz & Bob will start airing internationally later this year. The kids’ comedy explores the principles and science of engineering through creative play, craft and invention. Shortform companion You Can Do it Too encourages children to try out their own experiments.

Jon Rutherford, president at Boat Rocker Rights, announced the sales.
