BBC2 reveals interest in Intruders

BBC2 in the UK will broadcast BBC Worldwide (BBCWW) Productions’ forthcoming mystery thriller The Intruders after joining as a coproduction partner on the show.

Intruders (8×45′) is a paranormal drama co-produced with BBC America that follows a secret society devoted to chasing immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others.

The series, first revealed last year, is set in the American Pacific Northwest and stars John Simm (Doctor Who, Life on Mars) as a writer and former Los Angeles cop with a troubled and violent past who finds his idyllic life turned upside down when his wife goes missing.

Glen Morgan (The X-Files) is writing and executive producing the show, which is based on Michael Marshall Smith’s novel The Intruders.

BBCWW, the UK pubcaster’s commercial arm, is distributing the series internationally. It will air on BBC2 this autumn.
