BBC Wales signs The Pact

BBC Wales has commissioned a crime drama series from Cardiff-based indie Little Door Productions.

The Pact, which began filming this week, follows the story of five friends, a sudden death and a web of lies.

It stars Laura Fraser (Breaking Bad), Julie Hesmondhalgh (Broadchurch) and Eddie Marsan (Ray Donovan). It is written by Pete McTighe (Wentworth, Doctor Who), who also created the show.

Eric Styles and Rebecca Johnson direct the six-part series, with Catrin Lewis producing.

The Pact, which is due to air in spring 2021, is the first commission for Little Door Productions, which was launched by Elwen Rowlands and Hayley Manning last year. Lionsgate holds the distribution rights to the series
