BBC Studios adds Boundless, Voltage duo

BBC Studios has added executives from UK producers Boundless and Voltage TV to work across factual entertainment and events, joining the division’s MD and fellow Boundless alum Hanna Wyatt.

Kat Lennox

Ex-Boundless exec Kat Lennox joins as senior executive producer for BBC Studios’ factual entertainment and events division while Seb Curtis has been named head of development.

The division is home to shows such as motoring hit Top Gear and entrepreneur series Dragons’ Den, as well as being behind coverage of events such as The Festival of Remembrance and The Invictus Games.

Lennox was previously an executive producer at Boundless and has credits on shows such as The Week The Landlords Moved In for BBC1 and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! for ITV1.

Curtis had been a development exec producer at Voltage TV since 2015, primarily working across factual entertainment and documentary slates. His credits include The Big Family Cooking Showdown for BBC2, and before that he worked for Boundless.

Wyatt, MD of BBC Studios’ factual entertainment and events arm, said both execs “have strong reputations for delivering ground-breaking, thought-provoking factual entertainment, with warmth, wit and purpose, and I look forward to working with them and seeing what they create next.”

She joined BBC Studios, which subsumed former distribution arm BBC Worldwide last year, from Boundless in 2017.

The appointments follow last month’s news that former Channel 4 exec Ralph Lee was joining BBC Studios as director of content.
