BBC Scotland unveils weight-loss series

A pilot episode of Secret Body aired on BBC1 Scotland last year

BBC Scotland has commissioned a weight-loss series from Belfast-based indie Stellify Media in which participants try to lose the pounds in secret.

In each episode of Secret Body (6×60′), two people are guided by a team of experts to lose weight while disguising their size using state-of-the-art body suits, which hide their progress over a 12-week period.

According to BBC Scotland, the format looks at the psychological pressure some people face when their friends and family know they are trying to lose weight, which can hinder their attempt.

The commission follows a pilot episode of Secret Body which aired on BBC1 Scotland late last year.

Exec producing are Kieran Doherty and Matthew Worthy for Stellify Media. The series producer is Tracie O’Neill and Joe Sharp is director.
