BBC re-opens Animal Park

The BBC has recommissioned Endemol Shine Group-owned Remarkable Television to produce new episodes of its daytime series Animal Park.

The series, which went off air in 2009 after eight years, was revived for five specials in 2016 and will return later this year for a further 15×45′ episodes.

Animal Park follows the dramatic and heart-warming tales that unfold at Britain’s oldest safari park, Longleat, and is presented by Ben Fogle and Kate Humble.

Five new episodes will over Easter, with a further 10 airing over the summer.

“Animal Park has hit a real nerve with the core daytime audience – and also with a previously untapped audience, children on school holiday,” said BBC commissioning editor Lindsay Bradbury.

“The series is a real treat in the schedule and an opportunity for viewers of all ages to catch up on the heart-warming stories of the animals and their keepers.”
