BBC First lands in Turkey

BBC First, the drama-focused network distributed around the world by BBC Studios, is launching in Turkey for the first time.

The channel will debut on Türk Telekom Tivibu on May 27 with a launch slate that includes the 11th and 12th seasons of Doctor Who, Les Misérables, The Mallorca Files and MotherFatherSon.

The agreement with Türk Telekom also includes a selection of drama boxsets, available on demand to Tivibu subscribers.

Turk Telekom Tivibu is the second largest pay TV operator in Turkey and will offer the content with full Turkish subtitles.

BBC First will join BBC Studios global brands BBC Earth, BBC World News and CBeebies in the Turkish market.
