BBC, Amazon climb aboard Red Rock

Red Rock is set in a fictional Irish town

MIPTV: BBC in the UK and Amazon Prime Video in the US have acquired Irish drama Red Rock.

The 40×60′ show is coproduced by Element Pictures and Company Pictures for TV3 in Ireland, where it made its debut in 2015, and is based around a busy police station in a fictional Irish harbour town.

Episodes of the half-hour series are now available for Prime members in the US while the show will air during daytime on the BBC.

The show is written by Peter McKenna (Doctors, EastEnders, Casualty, Holby City) and directed by Matt Carter (Holby City), with Ed Guiney and John Yorke exec producing. All3Media International distributes.
