Bavaria puts faith in Franckenstein

Bavaria Film in Germany has extended CEO Christian Franckenstein’s contract by seven years.

Franckenstein, who took the reins at the Munich-based company in October 2014, has overseen a restructuring strategy as well as the rebranding of Bavaria Film’s TV production subsidiary as Bavaria Fiction in October last year.

Tom Buhrow, chairman of the Bavaria Film advisory board, said he was pleased to be extending his professional relationship with Franckenstein.

“As CEO, he has consolidated Bavaria Film in recent years and positioned it strategically for the future of the rapidly changing TV and film production market,” he added.
