Barcroft’s videos will soon be made available on Chinese social media platform Weibo for the first time.

The platform offers content from major media publishers around the world, skewing towards the millennial audience and focusing on genres including fashion, music, wildlife, cars and movies.

Barcroft has also secured a content deal with Rumble.com, the Toronto-based online video platform. It will see content appear on Rumble’s own website and its video player, which is embedded in third-party sites.

An agreement has also been reached with MobiMedia/RealTime Images to distribute content to African partners including MTN, Vodafone, Huawei and Safaricom.

Barcroft Media already has agreements with 34 major digital platforms around the world including Youku Tudou in China, Sky Q in the UK, AOL, MSN and Yahoo, among others.

The Barcroft Media YouTube channel recently passed the 2.4 million subscriber mark and 2.2 billion video views.

Victoria Catton, the company’s head of partnerships, said: “Getting in front of new audiences is a high priority for us and our content has never been in such high demand around the world.”
