Barcroft brings longform factual to Mip

MIPCOM: UK indie Barcroft Productions is shopping four long-term projects based on its popular digital programming at Mipcom this week.

Snapped in the Wild

Cannes buyers will be able to purchase Snapped in the Wild, Making Mad, Major Loser and Outrageous Homes from Barcroft’s slate.

Snapped in the Wild is based on the shortform Barcroft TV series that has attracted a combined 412 million views on YouTube and 512 million views on Facebook Watch in the past 12 months. It focuses on the amazing wildlife events everyday people have been able to capture on their camera phones.

Making Mad follows the world’s best backyard inventors and their innovative creations. Defying the laws of physics and stretching the limits of engineering, each episode features stories taken from Barcroft’s successful online digital series including a homemade submarine and a real-life Iron Man exoskeleton.

Major Loser tells true stories of people who have accomplished extreme weight loss while Outrageous Homes is an original series that takes viewers inside incredible living spaces. It follows on from Barcroft’s successful Amazing Interiors series on Netflix.

The slate follows the recent announcement of a coproduction agreement between US cablenet WE tv, Barcroft and London-based distributor TCB Media Rights to produce the new 8×60’ TV series Extreme Love.
