Barcroft TV’s original shortform content will be available via a dedicated channel on Roku’s streaming platform, which claims more than 13 million active accounts.

Victoria Catton, head of partnerships at Barcroft Media, said the deal would help the company extend its strategy to extend “reach in priority markets and getting in front of audiences in new ways.”

It’s the latest distribution deal for Barcroft, which has struck similar arrangements with Chinese social media outfit Sina Weibo, Toronto-based video platform Rumble.com and Africa’s MobiMedia/RealTime Images.

Barcroft Media was founded in 2011 by Sam Barcroft and its online channel Barcroft TV has become known for its viral video content. Last year Channel 4 took a stake in the business through its growth fund initiative.
