Banijay’s Schweitzer to head content

France’s Banijay Group has promoted its content manager to head of content, overseeing all activities relating to programmes.

Marie Schweitzer will oversee the central development and creative teams as well as the market research department for the production and distribution giant.

She will also be charged with developing new global format brands as well as expanding existing hits such as Temptation Island, Beat Your Host and Popstars.

Schweitzer, who joined the company in 2008 as co-head of market research and has since been head of the central development unit and content manager, will report to Banijay Group CEO Marco Bassetti.
