Azoomee explores wildlife with Scorpion

Fire Horse Pictures’ The Twinning Reaction: among Scorpion TV deals

VoD platform Azoomee has acquired two children’s wildlife series from distributor Scorpion TV for its subscribers in the UK and the US.

Siyaya: Come Wild With Us (26×30′) and Siyaya: Wildest Cape (13×30′), produced by Francois Odendaal Productions in South Africa, will be available on Azoomee.

The service specialises in entertaining educational content for kids aged four and above and recently expanded into the Netherlands, in partnership with TV2Z.

Meanwhile, Scorpion TV has concluded a number of other deals with broadcasters including TVP in Poland.

The broadcaster has picked up numerous documentaries including: The Twinning Reaction (1×56′) by Fire Horse Pictures; Korsviken Natur’s series The Art of Nature (2×52′); and Chile: A Wild Journey (1×52′), from Equilibrio Films and Nedo Productions.

Elsewhere, CBC in Canada has acquired Forgiving The Unforgivable (1×52′), about restorative justice and produced by Emergence Pictures.

The latter doc was also taken by Al Jazeera in the Middle East, which took other docs including Britain: A Year of Hate Crime (1×45′), from Century Films; and The Search for the Mona Lisa (1×52′) and White Kid Brown Kid (1×52′) from Windfall Films.
