Women & Wings (working title) is the first in a series of coproductions between Aerostar and AeroCinema under their recently signed content partnership, which will eventually see the pair roll out a channel for aviation enthusiasts.

The 6×46’ series will focus on the stories of famous American, French, Russian and British female aviators, with one episode covering the rivalry between America’s Jacqueline Cochrane and France’s Jacqueline Auriol as they battled to break world speed records.

Paris-based Aerostar is run by chairman Bernard Chabbert, a renowned aviator with over four decades experience as an aviation journalist and documentary producer for pubcaster France 3. The channel is distributed in France by telecoms firms Orange, Free and Bouyigues.

Based in Canada, AeroCinema is owned by Eureka Media and offers over 150 hours of HD documentaries. The service is available online, via smartphone apps and Roku boxes.
