ATV makes People’s Choice

Turkish broadcaster ATV has ordered a local version of Israeli primetime entertainment format The People’s Choice, to be produced by Endemol Shine Turkey.

The Armoza Formats show will be remade as Cevap Sende by Endemol Shine, which acquired the format last year, and it will air on ATV weekly in primetime slots from mid-June.

It is set to be ATV’s largest non-scripted project to date, according to Armoza, and Turkey will be the first country to air the show. Brazilian giant Globo is also producing a local version.

Developed with TF1 in France, the entertainment format has already been picked up by Germany’s Tresor TV Produktions, Toro in Italy and Elk Productions in Sweden.

The interactive show tests how well viewers know their nation by presenting them with a series of thought-provoking dilemmas.
