Atlanta’s Robinson pens FX deal

US-based FX Productions (FXP) has signed an exclusive overall production deal with one of the producers and writers of FX comedy series Atlanta.

Stefani Robinson, who is also working on an as-yet-untitled forthcoming animation based on Marvel’s Deadpool, will develop TV series for FX Networks and other outlets as part of the arrangement.

Robinson has previously written for FXX’s Man Seeking Woman and is also on board the Princeless feature adaptation for Sony.

FXP has been behind an array of series including comedy Louie, drama Snowfall, forthcoming limited series Trust and long-running comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It also coproduced dramas The Americans, Taboo and Legion.
