Asian nets catch Jungle fever

Broadcasters in Asia have picked up French CGI animated series The Jungle Bunch to the Rescue! from Paris-based PGS Entertainment.

Thai TV3 in Thailand, NTV7 in Malaysia and MNCTV in Indonesia will all air the 52×11′ series, which features characters including a penguin who thinks he’s a tiger and a singing warthog.

These latest deals come soon after Turner Broadcasting System acquired the series in Europe and South-East Asia for its rebranded Boomerang network.

The Jungle Bunch to the Rescue! is already available in 180 territories, with broadcasters including France 3, Rai in Italy, Clan TVE in Spain, ABC in Australia and Super RTL in Germany.

The toon is produced by Tat Productions and Master Films in France and was commissioned by pubcaster France Télévision and Super RTL following a successful series of shorts and a feature-length special.
