Arte reaches Global Screen’s Zenith

Zenith: A Supercharged Family is set to be remade by Atomic Monster in the US

Franco-German cultural network Arte has acquired a youth-skewing sci-fi adventure series from Telepool-owned German distributor Global Screen.

Zenith: A Supercharged Family comes from Dutch production company Lemming Film and is set to premiere in both Germany and France this spring.

The show follows a family in which cloned parents have taken over daily life, leaving the real parents with more time for their busy jobs. However, the children manage to hack the codes and start programming their own version of their parents.

Atomic Monster, the US prodco led by Saw director James Wan, agreed a deal last year to remake the Dutch drama.

Amsterdam-based Lemming Film is also behind The Lobster, Zama and the upcoming Vampire series Heirs of the Night.
