Armoza marries Fremantle in France

Marry Me Now came out of Armoza's format competition

Marry Me Now came out of Armoza’s format competition Formagination

FremantleMedia France has acquired a recently launched Israeli factual entertainment format from Armoza Formats.

Marry Me Now, which has also been picked up by an unnamed party in Australia, was pitched at the Armoza-run format competition Formagination by Israeli comedienne and first-time format creator Odelia Yakir. It was then developed and produced by Armoza Formats, which partnered with Zipi Rozenblum on production.

The 60-minute show sees women who are tired of waiting for their partners to pop the question take their fate into their own hands. Each prepares her own wedding and then asks her unsuspecting partner to marry them, while wearing a wedding dress.

The deals come after Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1 Group and Italy’s Endemol Shine signed up for the format.
