Apple TV+ heads to Fraggle Rock

The Jim Henson Company’s Fraggle Rock: The Animated Series

Apple TV+ has begun releasing new shortform episodes featuring characters from classic The Jim Henson Company series Fraggle Rock, filmed under lockdown.

The first episode of Fraggle Rock: Rock On is available on Apple TV+ now, with new episodes set to debut on the tech giant’s streaming service each week.

The puppet show was shot using iPhone 11s from the homes of production team members and artists across the US. It joins several other Apple TV+ shows aimed at children, such as Helpsters, Snoopy in Space and Ghostwriter.

Fraggle Rock first aired in 1983 and has spawned an animated series as well as spin-off shows such as Doozers.
