Apple TV+ finds Israel’s Alice

Losing Alice airs on Hot in Israel

Tech giant Apple has picked up an Israeli neo-noir drama for its Apple TV+ streaming service.

Losing Alice follows a 48-year-old female film director who, after a brief encounter on a train, becomes obsessed with a 24-year-old femme fatale screenwriter.

The eight-part series explores issues such as jealousy, guilt, the fear of ageing and the complex relationships between women.

Created, written and directed by Sigal Avin, Losing Alice is currently airing on Israel’s Hot. The show is set to stream exclusively on Apple TV+ later this year following a deal with Israeli distributor Dori Media Group.

Losing Alice will join an expanding list of international drama on Apple TV+, including Tehran, Masters of the Air, Slow Horses, Shantaram, Pachinko and Uma Thurman-fronted Suspicion.
