Apple adds Criminale element

Apple has agreed a deal with US distributor Kino Lorber to add both seasons of an Italian crime drama to its iTunes service.

Romanzo Criminale, based on the crime novel by Giancarlo De Cataldo, follows the bloody and brutal rise of three young criminals to the top of the organised crime ladder in 1970s Rome.

All 22 episodes will become available on iTunes from October 24 via Kino Lorber’s new Episodic Cinema label, which is focused on international drama.

The show was produced by Italian prodco Cattleya and first aired on Sky in Italy in 2008.
