APAC nets pick up Harbour Rights docs

Broadcasters and platforms in the Asia-Pacific region, including Huanxi Media in China and Sky in New Zealand, have acquired documentaries from Hong Kong-based distributor Harbour Rights.

Huanxi Media has picked up a 100-hour package of history, travel, arts and human-story docs for its SVoD subscribers in China. Among the selection are Becoming Chanel (1×52’), The Bridges of Paris (1×52’) and 21 episodes of 4K travel series Flavors.

Sky has acquired feature-length arts doc The Sea of Itami Jun (1×112’), which pays tribute to the Japanese architect.

Elsewhere, Hong Kong pubcaster RTHK has picked up Color of Justice (1×52’), which centres on the death of Eric Gardner at the hands of an NYC police officer in 2014.

In Thailand, pay TV channel True Vision has acquired France Télévisions docuseries China Express (6×52’) and a number of docs exploring the industrial food sector, while PBS in Thailand has picked up the fourth season of Wind Quest (8×52’).
