AOL, GroupM team for web series

AOL and GroupM Entertainment are teaming up to make a new web series. The two companies have briefed a select number of production companies to develop ideas for an AOL Originals series.

The project, financial terms of which were not disclosed, will be fully funded and coproduced by GroupM and information about the series and casting will be shared in the coming weeks. The UK-commissioned series will be syndicated through the AOL On network but will launch globally.

AOL On is one of the largest curated video libraries on the internet, with more than one million premium videos created by AOL and content partners.

Since launching, AOL On has unveiled nearly 50 original series worldwide and its original series include Steve Buscemi’s unscripted web series Park Bench.
