Antena 3 to play Game of Games

NBC has ordered a second run of Ellen’s Game of Games

MIPTV: Spanish commercial broadcaster Atresmedia Television is adapting a gameshow format from Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP) Spain for its flagship channel Antena 3.

Game of Games will be hosted by comedian and actress Silvia Abril and produced by WBITVP Spain. A launch date has yet to been announced.

The show involves members of the audience competing in super-sized, physical games for a cash prize.

Antena 3’s will be the first foreign version of the US show, which debuted on NBC as Ellen’s Game of Games, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres. A second season of 13 episodes has already been commissioned.

The US version of the show is produced by Warner Bros Unscripted and Alternative Television subsidiary Warner Horizon, together with Telepictures and A Very Good Production.

DeGeneres also collaborates with Warner Bros in the US through Digital Ventures, a joint-venture partnership with Warner Bros Digital Networks.
