Antena 3 takes Cromosoma's Juanito Jones

Spanish terrestrial channel Antena 3 has signed a deal with Barcelona-based toon producer Cromosoma TV Productions for its Juanito Jones animated series.

The broadcaster will put the show in its daily kids' strand Club Megatrix. The first 13×26' episodes will be delivered to the channel in October 2001 and the last 13 episodes in April of 2002.

Antena 3 will have the second window for the show, after The Disney Channel, which also has the French and Italian rights to the toon.

Cromosoma's Mireia Gusi also reports sales of one of the series to Nickelodeon (for Lat-Am), with its most recent pick-up being Noga (Israel).

The series, which mixes 2D and 3D animation techniques, was written by Ricardo Alcantara y Gusti.
