America’s Most Wanted comes back to Fox

The original America’s Most Wanted was hosted by John Walsh

US cablenet Fox is rebooting long-running crime investigation series America’s Most Wanted, a decade after it was taken off air.

The series, which investigates some of the country’s most dangerous fugitives, originally ran on Fox from 1988 to 2011.

Produced by Fox Alternative Entertainment, the rebooted version will premiere on Fox in March with journalist Elizabeth Vargas as host. It will also be available to stream on Fox Entertainment’s AVoD platform Tubi and SVoD service Hulu after the linear broadcasts.

John Ferracane serves as showrunner and exec producer, with Glenn Geller, James Bruce, Jim Clemente and Tim Clemente also exec producing.

“America’s Most Wanted empowered viewers to help America successfully capture some of its most dangerous fugitives,” said Rob Wade, president of alternative entertainment and specials at Fox Entertainment.

“By bringing back this groundbreaking series with new and effective tech-based crime-fighting tools and acclaimed journalist Elizabeth Vargas, we hope to continue [original host] John Walsh’s long-standing mission to be a powerful voice for crime victims everywhere.”
