Ameba TV signs up Nelvana content

The 59 Nelvana shows picked up by Ameba TV include Babar & the Adventures of Badou

Canada-based kids’ streaming service Ameba TV has picked up a range of children’s shows from Corus Entertainment-owned producer and distributor Nelvana.

Ameba TV has secured rights to 59 Nelvana titles, including 6Teen, Anatole, Babar, Babar & the Adventures of Badou, Being Ian, Blazing Dragons, Birdz, Braceface, Class of Titans, Di-Gata Defenders and Redwall.

Additional forthcoming titles include a mixture of series and movies, including Babar: The Movie, Donkey Kong Country, Elliot Moose, Maggie & the Ferocious Beast, Maurice Sendak’s Little Bear, Miss Spider’s Sunny Patch Friends, Pecola and Pippi Longstocking.

“This partnership allows kids to immerse themselves in a world of curiosity, empowerment and exploration through some of their favourite television series,” said Pam Westman, head of Nelvana Enterprises.
