Ameba TV evolves with Amazon

Canadian children’s VoD service Ameba TV has grown its reach in North America by joining Amazon’s Streaming Partners Program.

Ameba TV is now available to Amazon Prime customers as part of the online retailer’s SVoD bundle plan, which launched last year.

Ameba TV claims to have added a collection of series that were not previously available on Amazon Prime from producers around the world.

Tony Havelka, president and CEO of Ameba TV, said that being part of Amazon’s search feature would make it easy for consumers to discover the service’s catalogue of children’s content.

Ameba TV announced earlier this year that it had expanded its reach in North America by securing a place for its streaming app on the Xbox 360 console.
