AMC and SundanceTV has rejigged its international programming group and promoted an existing exec to head up the team, while also adding a VP from Pivot.

Kristin Jones is now senior VP of international programming for AMC and SundanceTV, overseeing the creation, development and production of programming and coproductions globally.

Jones has been with AMC since 2014 and had been running international programming for AMC, working on deals including The Night Manager and Humans.

Prior to that, she served as chief creative officer for multi-platform digital studio Vuguru and before that was senior VP of international development, production and acquisitions for Miramax Films in New York.

She continues to report to Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV.

Meanwhile Chris Loveall joins as VP of international programming having been VP of original programming at Pivot, which was shuttered earlier in the summer.

Loveall, based in LA and reporting to Jones, is responsible for the development and acquisitions of international programming and coproductions for both networks.

The changes come after Christian Vesper, Sundance’s former senior VP of international programming and development, joined FremantleMedia, as first reported by C21. Bruce Tuchman, president of AMC Global and Sundance Channel Global, stepped down in April.

“This team has done an amazing job moving AMC quickly into the international programming space and building on the wonderful track record that SundanceTV had established,” said Stillerman.

“There is so much great writing and producing talent around the world and we’re truly looking forward to expanding our existing relationships, building new ones, and continuing to find the best stories and most original voices.”

Jones added: “Chris brings solid experience to the team and will play an important role in identifying compelling international co-production opportunities for both AMC and SundanceTV.”

AMC and Sundance’s original scripted efforts include Rectify, its BBC coproduction The Honourable Woman, and The Red Road as well as The Night Manager and The A Word.
