Ouro was shot in French Guyana

AMC Networks International (AMCNI) Iberia has acquired the first season of French gold-trafficking drama Ouro from Newen Distribution.

The 8×52’ Canal+ original is an adventure-thriller series created by Fabien Nury and produced by Mascaret Films.

Ouro will air on AMC Spain and Portugal from January and February 2018 respectively.

The deal was announced by Pilar de las Casas, VP of cinema and documentary channels at AMCNI Iberia, and Nadia Chevallard, head of international sales at Newen Distribution.

Last week, Newen sold the series to Sony Pictures Television Networks for Central and Eastern Europe.
