Amazon tracks down Super Dinosaur

Super Dinosaur drops on Amazon Prime Video on October 6

Amazon Prime Video has picked up children’s animated series Super Dinosaur from multiplatform content company Skybound Entertainment and children’s entertainment outfit Spin Master.

Following a raft of international sales, the first 13×30’ season of the animated adventure series will be available on the streaming service from October 6. The show has already aired on Teletoon in Canada.

Spin Master has also secured international deals with ABC in Australia, New Zealand’s TVNZ, Discovery Latin America, Chinese VoD platform iQIYI and NOGA-Communications in Israel.

Super Dinosaur is based on the Robert Kirkman and Jason Howard comic book of the same name and features a 10-year-old and his T-Rex best friend as they fight to protect the planet from evil.

The series is produced by Spin Master and Skybound Entertainment’s Vancouver division North/Wind Sun Sky.

Additionally, Skybound and Spin Master will be launching merchandise from the show, including toys of the characters, which will be available on Amazon in the US and exclusively at Toys R Us in Canada.
