Amazon snags DHX series in Europe

Amazon will offer shows including Teletubbies

Amazon Prime has licensed more than 36 series from Canadian children’s giant DHX Media, including the recently rebooted Teletubbies and Henry Winkler’s live action Hank Zipzer.

Other series included in the deal, which covers the SVoD service in the UK and Germany, are Messy Goes to Okido, Looped, In the Night Garden and Caillou.

In Germany, Amazon Prime will take first-run exclusive rights to episodes of shows such as classic Teletubbies, Slugterra, Hank Zipzer and Fireman Sam.

It comes after Amazon picked up the exclusive US rights to DHX Media series such as Looped, The Busy World of Richard Scarry, Madeline and the feature special Madeline Sing Along with her Friends.
