Amazon settles in for Spurs season

Tottenham Hotspur recently moved into a new stadium in North London

Global streaming giant Amazon has expanded its All or Nothing sports documentary franchise with a new series following English Premier League football team Tottenham Hotspur.

Amazon Original observational docuseries All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur will follow London club, commonly known as Spurs, through the entirety of the ongoing 2019/20 season.

The series will launch exclusively on Prime Video next year in more than 200 territories.

All or Nothing has previously focused on Spurs’ Premier League rivals Manchester City and numerous NFL teams in the US. The series goes behind the scenes and into the dressing rooms at clubs to provide a fly-on-the-wall look at what really goes on in professional sports teams.

Spurs, however, may regret the timing of the access. Having defied the odds to finish in the top four of the Premier League and reach the UEFA Champions League final in 2018/19, they have endured a wretched start to the new campaign and currently sit seventh after this weekend’s draw with Watford. They have already been dumped out of the League Cup by lowly Colchester.

The doc is being produced by 72 Films, the UK indie launched by former Channel 4 specialist factual chief David Glover in 2017. It is executive produced by Mark Raphael and three-time Bafta winner John Douglas.

Prime Video is offering subscribers live coverage of 20 Premier League matches from this season as well as Back of the Net, a weekly studio entertainment show hosted by Peter Crouch, Gabby Logan and John Bishop.
