Amazon Prime Video in the UK and Ireland has picked up feature documentary Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In about the life of Manchester United FC’s former manager.

The doc will be available on Amazon Prime Video in the UK and Ireland from May 29, two days after its theatrical release.

Featuring unseen archive footage and interviews with players including Eric Cantona and Ryan Giggs, the doc recounts the personal and professional life of Ferguson from his working-class roots in Glasgow to his career as one of the greatest football managers of all time.

Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In has been directed by Sir Alex’s son, Jason, and produced by Andrew Macdonald (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later), John Battsek (One Day in September, Searching for Sugar Man) and Allon Reich (The Last King of Scotland, Never Let Me Go).

The film is a DNA and Passion Pictures production in association with Ventureland.

Sir Alex said: “Losing my memory was my biggest fear when I suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2018. In the making of this film I was able to revisit the most important moments of my life, good and bad. Having my son Jason direct this film has ensured an honest and intimate account.”
