Amazon, MGM go OTT in Brazil

The deal covers MGM movies including Legally Blonde

Amazon and MGM have agreed a distribution deal that will see the US studio’s streaming service added to the retail giant’s channels platform in Brazil.

Amazon Prime members will be able to access a selection of films and TV series from MGM’s library, including 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street and Legally Blonde, for R$14.90 (US$2.79) per month in Brazil.

The Brazil launch marks the expansion of the MGM on-demand streaming service after it debuted in Mexico in 2019.

It is now available on Amazon Prime Video Channels in the UK, Germany, France, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
