Amazon adds Armoza drama

Rua Augusta first aired on Brazil’s TNT

Global streaming service Amazon Prime Video has licensed the finished series of Rua Augusta, the Brazilian adaptation of Israeli drama Allenby, from Armoza Formats.

Based on the novel Allenby Street by Gadi Taub, Rua Augusta is a psychological drama about a stripper who falls victim to an aggressive assault in the Brazilian city of São Paulo.

The show has already aired on TNT Brazil and will now be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video in Latin America. Armoza Formats is distributing the series as both a format and finished tape.

In related news, Amazon Prime Video has picked up a collection of stand-up comedy specials from UK performers. The collection includes specials from Chris Ramsey, Ed Gamble, Flo & Joan, Jayde Adams, Paul Chowdhry and Rob Delaney, produced by Avalon.

The six stand-up specials will be available exclusively on Prime Video in 200 countries and territories worldwide.
