AM Baltics taps TVN for CEO

Fledgling regional media firm All Media Baltics (AM Baltics) has appointed a former executive at Poland’s TVN Group as its group CEO.

Christian Anting

Christian Anting has joined AM Baltics to help boost the company’s digital transformation as it continues to grow into a key player in the region.

Anting will oversee day-to-day operations, working with parent company Providence Equity Partners’ telecoms firm BITE Group, to create new content, entertainment and digital initiatives.

Prior to joining AM Baltics, Anting was a management board member in charge of digital and e-commerce at TVN Group, responsible for all activities in these areas including online entertainment, OTT services and retail, and the company’s digital VC arm TVN Ventures.

In his eight years at TVN Group, Anting also served as chief operating officer and VP of TVN’s pay TV platforms Telewizja n and NC+. He has also held positions at SBS Broadcasting in London and Amsterdam and C More Entertainment in Stockholm.

Pierre Danon, chairman of AM Baltics, said Anting’s appointment would “further accelerate AM Baltics’ growth and the digital transformation we started 12 months ago.”

AM Baltics was created in October 2017 after US private equity investment firm Providence Equity Partners acquired all of Swedish digital entertainment firm Modern Times Group’s media businesses in the region, including free TV, pay TV, distribution and SVoD operations.
