All3Media, Synchronicity agree first-look pact

Synchronicity Films’ hit BBC drama The Cry

The distribution arm of All3Media has sealed an exclusive first-look deal with The Cry prodco Synchronicity Films for all its forthcoming scripted projects.

All3Media International will shop all future projects from the UK prodco, including several planned book adaptations such as Mayflies by Andrew O’Hagan and Lennox by Craig Russell.

Headquartered in Glasgow and with a recently opened office in Australia, Synchronicity is led by creative director Claire Mundell and is known for BBC drama The Cry, which is distributed by NENT Studios UK.

Mundell, founder and creative director at Synchronicity, said: “This partnership will help supercharge our ambition for growth, enabling us to push our scripted slate forward with confidence in the international marketplace.”

The distributor, which shops scripted programming including Fleabag, Midsomer Murders and The Missing, also recently picked up BBC1 and Stan drama The Tourist, starring Jamie Dornan.
