All3 takes Filmpool format to CEE

A Ukrainian broadcaster is to air a local version of a German reality format following a deal with distributor All3Media International.

Long-running Sat.1 series Niedrig & Kuhnt: Detectives Investigate, produced by reality specialist Filmpool, will be remade locally in Ukraine for ICTV.

Kiev-based Mamas Film will produce the Ukrainian version, whose first run will comprise 56 episodes. The programme, which sees real-life detectives solve fictional crimes, has aired more than 1,500 episodes in Germany.

Meanwhile, Czech broadcaster Prima TV has ordered a second run of a local version of German series Families at the Crossroads.

The constructed reality show, originally produced for RTL in Germany, recreates family crises from everyday events. Local versions are also airing on Polsat in Poland, TV3 in Estonia, TV3 in Latvia and Nova TV in Bulgaria.

Both programmes are part of All3Media International’s formats slate for the Natpe Europe market in Prague later this month.

All3Media International is also shopping Filmpool’s reality series Lawyers & Detectives, which airs on RTL in Germany, and fashion series Berlin Models. RTL recently ordered an 80-episode version of Lawyers and Detectives, following a 10-episode pilot run.

Formats from All3Media group producer Studio Lambert will also be on show in Prague, including BBC1 medical series Doctor in the House, ITV show Trip Advisors and Channel 4 series Gogglebox.

In related news, Tako Media of Poland has taken a licence to produce a local version of Filmpool format Private Investigators in Action, which lifts the lid on the world of private investigation, for broadcast later this year. The show was originally commissioned for RTL in Germany.
