All3, Carlson launch US prodco

All3Media America is launching an unscripted production company to be led by veteran exec producer and Undercover Boss showrunner Chris Carlson.

Commonwealth Unscripted will create, develop and sell original unscripted ideas that it will produce in partnership with All3Media America. Carlson will continue as exec producer of CBS series Undercover Boss while leading the new prodco.

“I’m hugely excited by the opportunity to create new shows, while ensuring that Undercover Boss continues to be a hit show on CBS,” he said.

All3Media America president Eli Holzman added: “Chris has been a great partner on Undercover Boss and we look forward to expanding our relationship with him through the creation of Commonwealth Unscripted.”

Undercover Boss is produced by Studio Lambert/All3Media America, with Stephen Lambert, Holzman and Carlson exec producing.

Since joining the show in season two, Carlson has garnered five Emmy nominations along with two wins. He previously oversaw the series as VP of alternative series development at CBS, where he developed new series while covering key franchises such as Survivor, Amazing Race and Big Brother.
